Key Summary:

The key purpose of this role is to deliver innovative drainage designs on all the projects the job holder is working on.

Role & Responsibilities

1.Work with the team to provide specialist knowledge and drainage design on projects where drainage is a key element

2.Deliver technical expertise to colleagues and clients

3.Undertake Design Risk Assessments and actively contributing to project hazard workshop reviews

4.Coordinate with design coordination/management functions and interfacing with other design disciplines

5.Input into civil engineering tendering processes

6. Marketing & Training. 

Person Specification

The following are essential for successful performance in the role:

•Degree level qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering and ideally educated to MSc / MEng level or equivalent

•Bachelor or Masters degree in Civil Engineering

•Experience of working on projects where drainage was a key/integral component of the design

•Experience within civil design environment preferably within a consultancy environment

•Experience of work winning including risk identification and mitigation

•Strong written and verbal skills

•An adaptable and flexible working style with the ability to develop and foster collaborative working relationships

•The ability to confidently present ideas, opinions, and solutions
